She was born in South Korea and lived there until she moved to Boston, MA in 2004. Although she majored in chemistry at university in Seoul, her passion for art and creativity has always been a driving force in her life. Her background in chemistry has been invaluable, particularly in understanding the complexities of pottery glaze chemistry, allowing her to create her own unique glazes.
After relocating to Boston, she began studying pottery at the Harvard Ceramic Studio and continued to develop her craft at Glen Echo Pottery in Maryland. In 2018, she was honored with the Park View Artist Award at Glen Echo Park, and in 2019, she held a solo exhibition at the Park View Gallery. Since then, she has been invited to numerous art shows and exhibitions, both online and in-person.
